Before you enquire
Questions couples ask
The things worth knowing before you get in touch, answered plainly.
Cost and payment
How is pricing handled?
We quote each wedding individually in the proposal, after the first call. The figure depends on your destination, guest count and the package you choose, so there is no fixed price.
How are payments staged?
A 50% deposit secures your date. The remaining balance is split across three instalments, with the final 25% due seven days before the wedding.
What currency do you work in?
USD, EUR or KES.
What does your fee cover?
Our fee covers our planning services and our decor. In some packages, especially all-inclusive beach packages, vendor payments are included as part of the package. Where they are not, those are handled separately.
Legal
Can foreign couples marry legally where you work?
Yes. Running the legal marriage in each jurisdiction is core to what we do, not an add-on. We handle it start to finish, so you leave legally married, not just celebrated.
Do you handle the paperwork, or do we?
We handle it. You provide your documents, and we run the process with the local authorities.
What documents do we need?
Each jurisdiction requires different documentation. Once you choose your destination, we give you the exact checklist for that place. In Zanzibar, for example, the legal route runs on a three-day special licence.
How long do we need to be in the country first?
This depends on the destination and its legal route. Zanzibar, for instance, runs on a three-day special licence. We give you the exact window for your destination when you book.
Planning and logistics
Can you plan our wedding if we cannot visit first?
Yes. Many of our couples plan entirely from abroad and see the destination for the first time when they arrive. Kim and Ciaran planned their Zanzibar wedding from Germany.
Do you handle guest travel and accommodation?
Yes. We arrange how guests reach the destination, where they stay, and what they do around the wedding.
Do you provide the decor, or hire it in?
We own our decor and rental inventory, so most of what you see is ours rather than brokered in. It arrives in the condition we control.
Can we use our own photographer and vendors?
It depends on the package. In an all-inclusive package, we provide our own photographer and vendors. Where we are planning only, we guide the vendor selection, welcome your own choices and help vet them, and recommend trusted vendors from our network.
Scope and availability
Where do you work?
Across East Africa, the Indian Ocean islands, North Africa and Asia.
How many weddings do you take at once?
A maximum of two full-coordination weddings per weekend, plus one adventure elopement during the week. This keeps our attention on each event rather than spread thin.
How far ahead should we book?
Destination weddings, at least twelve months before the date. Elopements, at least three weeks. A rush fee applies for bookings close to the date or in peak season.
Why are elopements usually on weekdays?
Most elopements fall on a weekday so government officials and officiants can work within their allocated hours. It is a matter of legal timing, not preference.
On the day
What happens if it rains or the weather turns?
Every plan we build carries a weather contingency. When Nadine and Sheraan's final day was hit by heavy rain, we moved the celebration under cover without losing the day.
Are you there on the day, or a team?
For a destination wedding, you get a lead planner with a team of coordinators, sized to your guest count and the number of days. For an elopement, your lead planner is present on the day.
