The process for marrying two foreigners in Kenya can seem quite daunting. The requirements are not straightforward, and even the Sheria House employees weren't always immediately sure of what needed to be done. Fortunately, we had Wanjira to assist us — both from the paperwork aspect and in finding an officiant licensed to perform the type of marriage we required. She also came through for us on unexpected paperwork issues that needed to be handled outside of what we initially knew we would need. She took care of extra pick-ups and drop-offs when we were in other parts of the country. Thanks to her, we were able to carry on with our honeymoon knowing she was handling all the legal requirements back in Nairobi. Her help was absolutely invaluable.
